Iran films to vie in Italy religion fest

Two Iranian films have been selected to compete at the Religion Today Film Festival in Italy.

Iranian documentary ‘A157’ and feature film ‘Coldness’ are scheduled to screen at the 20th edition of the Religion Today Film Festival, which starts this week.

Behrouz Nouranipour’s ‘A157’ is a shocking documentary about the horrors of war and terrorism in Syria, particularly inflicted on women and children.

The documentary has participated in many international festivals and won many awards, including the Special Jury Award at the ninth edition of Iran’s 2015 Cinema Verite in Tehran and an honorary diploma at the full-length documentary section of International Shahid Avini Award.

‘Coldness’ by Bahram Ark and Bahman Ark is about a family who has to change their home due to economic problems and their 8-year- old son faces difficulties because of being stressed out.

The 20th Religion Today Film Festival is scheduled to run from October 13 to 22 in Trento and other locations across Italy.
